Goal
Turn correct application into felt efficacy, and felt efficacy into loyalty.
Conceptualize a skincare app for a global beauty brand that drives consistent product use and makes the routine feel personal, adaptive, and worth returning to.
My role
UX Consultant; 4-week pre-sales concept
Working alongside UX Lead Viraj Circar and AR Engineer Karthik, I led the user-centered framing - anchored in riding the cultural momentum of skincare as self-care. And constructed the empathy map, the concept narrative, and the user flows within a 4-week window during a 5-month pre-sales tenure at LTIMindtree.
Concept
What does your face, face?
Your skin is a response to your life. Your routine should be too.
01
Studying the Science of a Regime
We mapped the structure of a skincare regime across three layers: general daily care (cleanse, moisturise, SPF), targeted treatments (actives and serums), and periodic activities (exfoliation, masking).
02
Context-Aware Routine
Environment affects skin directly — sun exposure, pollution levels, humidity, and stress each shift what the skin needs that day. For example, a high-pollution day calls for a longer cleanse.
03
The Whole Regime,
Not Just Our Products
Skincare is rarely one brand. The app accommodates non-brand products: log the step, set a timer, follow your own technique. The brand provides AR guidance for its own products only.
Guidance where we can give it, structure where we can't.
04
Skin Diary
Photo galleries are full, unorganized, forgotten. A dedicated skin diary with visual records that builds over time creates a relationship with your skin, and makes the habit worth keeping.

Business impacts
The design logic behind repeat purchase
The habit-loop design creates a sustained daily touchpoint.
Contextual adaptation makes the product feel responsive.
The progress record makes efficacy visible.
Each design decision tied back to one outcome: a user who logs, follows the routine, and sees results is a user who buys again.
deliverables
Concept journey delivered for the pre-sales pitch
Within 4 weeks: empathy map, concept narrative, user flow for the AR routine experience, and conceptual screens illustrating the journaling and guided-routine moments.
This was a pre-sales concept, not a shipped product. Deliverables were scoped to communicate the design idea and its business logic clearly.
